KinoToy International Short Film Festival 2026

The second edition of KinoToy Fest celebrates emerging and established filmmakers, with awards for Live-action, Animation, Documentary, Student and Music Video categories.

Submissions

Open from May 20 to September 30, 2026. Short films produced from 2023 onward may be submitted.

Film Length

Eligible films must be up to 20 minutes, including credits, with Portuguese and English closed captions.

Ceremony

The awards and screening ceremony will be held on November 7, 2026, at Cine Brasília.

Awards & Prizes

The festival will award trophies and cash prizes. The winning films in Fiction, Animation and Documentary may receive BRL 2,000.00, with additional popular vote awards of BRL 500.00.

The Student category winner may receive BRL 1,000.00. The Fall of Passion Best Music Video Award may receive BRL 2,000.00.

October 20, 2026: Announcement of main category nominees
